Moving Aspirations and Rising hopes

We are glad to bring before you a report we received of a recent program which was designed by  Priyasri Art Gallery in association with Bhavsya Yaan of Rotary Club of Mumbai.

Alok Bal and Jagganath Mohapatra along with curator Priyasri Patodia conducted a two week work show with std 7th,8th,9th students from the Municipal school at NM Joshi and Gk Marg, Worli under Bhavisya Yaan of Rotary Club of Bombay assisted by Omey Dabholkar. 80 students created 173 hand painted graphic books tilled ‘Moving Aspiration’. ‘ Rising Hope –an  installation of interactive mechanically operated objects by Alok Bal and Jagganath Mohapatra.

Since 2009, Art and creative thinking workshop runs under Bhavishya Yaan (2009) a project by Rotary Club Of Bombay – aimed to introduce children of the municipal school, to various professions related to creativity-fine arts, theater, film,ournalism, creative writing, product designing, architecture and advertising. While students are familiar with fields such as medicine, law, engineering and education our goal was to show them a peep into creative fields.   This program was designed by Priyasri Patodia, under the guidance of Master Veteran Akbar Padamsee.
