Recently Delhi Gourmet Club, a dedicated group of foodies who are into out of the world experiences of the taste buds , arranged an event for promotion of the Kashmiri Wazwan at a private farmhouse in Delhi on 25th of January. At a do , for more than hundred of their members, they offered a delectable spread of the best of Kashmiri wazwan in all its glory and splendor. The spread had a range of mouth watering authentic kashmiri delicacies like Palak rishta, Gushtaba, Mutton Yakhni, Rogan josh, Kokker kanti chicken washed down with plenty of wine as well as Kehwa. The meal had a befitting end with the delicious phirni and a live interaction with the Chief Wazi Mr Safi .
Mr Rocky Mohan who is a connoisseur of fine dining , a foodie and a writer has authored a book Wazwan , which is an informative and interesting collection of the recipes of the constituents of a traditional wazwan and which not only is just a collection of recipes, but also allows a peep into the history and genesis of the same.
Members were happily seen getting autographed copies of the coveted book from the author himself who was also one of the active organizer and coordinator of the event.
