Skill Improvement for Employment Ready Graduates

November 22, 2016 0 By Fried Eye News Service

India enjoys the demographic advantage of having the youngest workforce with an average age of 29 years in comparison with the advanced economies. India is moving progressively towards becoming a global knowledge economy. However, despite the political will, private sector interest and demographic advantage, India continue to struggle to bridge the demand – supply gap. India records a low 5% of workforce who are ready to become employable. With the growing number of people who are migrating to other countries for jobs, the international jobs market will become increasingly competitive. It is therefore, now or never opportunity to re-fix our education and skill management system so that India become the global leader.

Skill Development is a multi-level, multi-party initiative, involving a large number of participants.  Under Skill India initiative, India has exhibited a focused approach toward technical education by setting up a E & ICT (Electronics and Information, Communication Technology) academy at IIT, Guwahati for skill development for the graduating students. The assessment and certification will be done by E & ICT, Guwahati. Under these programs, all  key stakeholders of the knowledge delivery ecosystem, primarily- Government, Industry, Training Providers, and Academia are working in a coherent and focused approach. The primary objective of the academy is to provide training program on Industry specific processes and best practices to the young generation.

As an empanelled member of the academy, Damyant Software (www.damyant.com) is conducting a training on 7th Dec-12th Dec at IIT Guwahati on Mobile Application Development. The training program is designed keeping the current industry requirements in mobility segment. Mobility has been core focus of most enterprises across several verticals. We tend to train on industry specific processes and best practices, to make faculty and students hands-on in this specialty, where quality of the program are monitored by coordinating IIT, Guwahati.
