Match 11 – Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab Pepsi-IPL-2013-Match-Ticket-Booking-Process
You have a clash of Titans when you have two kings competing against each other. Chennai Super Kings vs Kings XI Punjab.
By the way, do you know what is ferocious than a Tiger ? A Tiger who is hurt. And that is what Chennai Super Kings team are like tonight. Losing the previous match by a whisker, Dhoni and company would be raring to go and show everyone why they are called the best team in the IPL.
On the other hand, the Kings XI Punjab has been a confident side. Winning their first match in IPL for the first time this season, with one of the highest margins of any IPL season, the team which is full of energy, is filled with a lot of youngsters. The pace attack is good along with the ‘spin variety’ provided by Piyush Chawla.
Plus this clash is not just between Chennai and Mohali, it’s between the Hussey brothers too; David Hussey playing for Kings XI and Mike Hussey for Super Kings.

Dhoni wins the toss and decides to have a bowl first.
A quick start from Gilly and the young Mandeep, before Gilly falls to Dirk Nannes, while trying to place a ball through the short fine leg. And just another ball later,Mandeep falls due to a top edge too.
The young sensation Manan Vohra takes his guard. He plays some lovely shots along with David Hussey before he shows his inexperience and gifts a catch to Mike Hussey at deep mid-wicket.
David Hussey and the flyer, Gurkeerat bat well until Hussey hits one in the air off a carom ball from Ashwin in the 15th over. Scoring 41 of 36 balls, Hussey has given the Kings XI a platform to charge ahead.
But they do not say that experience counts for nothing. The remaining batsmen fall like nine pins. Bravo bowling a good spell along with the IPL debutant Chris Norris restricts Kings XI Punjab for 138 in 19.4 balls.

Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay start for CSK loaded with Raina, Dhoni, Bravo.
They start well, scoring 38 in the first 6 power play overs. Continuing further, they get to 65 for no loss at half way through the innings.
CSK doing it pretty easy here. And so we have the first 100 run partnership of this IPL coming very easily in the 15th over, for no loss, -Punjab 103-0.

Can there be a twist in the tale in the final 5 overs? After all, this is IPL.
The twist in the tale would be if Punjab can take even one wicket of CSK. After beating Pune with the highest margin, Punjab seems ready to lose a match with great humility in their bowling department. What a story the two matches of Punjab tell us!
CSK finish the match with 16 balls to spare and 10 wickets in hand. A great display of batting is what you would call this innings. Chennai open their account in the points table in IPL – 6.
Mike Hussey is the Man of the Match for his lovely contribution.
The tiger roared. Keep in track for more CSK matches. They generally are very interesting.
