It takes courage to say no
March 15, 2011I know there are two ways out,
The hard earned one and the easy inn,
Fight it through or mess it in,
Jets of ecstasy, in the arms of reality,
On their way in, they take me out,
Snort in dote for the worldly pain,
Supreme sensory bliss.
Every dote, it takes me high,
Every jet, it propels joy.
I damn the world, I sever ties,
I cheat the adversity of being human.
As the ecstasy dips,
My skies tumble, my heights fumble,
And I dash against the harsh reality
Of human adversity.
It takes courage to say no,
It takes courage to stay low.
This world reminds me of my cowardice,
I need to stay apart, I need to stay away.
Jets of ecstasy, in the arms of reality,
On their way in, they take me out,
Snort in dote for the worldly pain,
Supreme sensory bliss.
