Chunky Chic

With the mention of the word “accessory”, the first thing that comes to my mind is jewellery. And I am sure, it’s the case with most of us. In today’s cosmopolitan world, fashion is incomplete without this accessory and most of the time it helps in uplifting an already trendy quotient. It’s the basic essence of style.

Jewellery constitutes an essential part of a woman’s wardrobe, but even timeless pieces worn very often can turn drab and repeated for an onlooker. Therefore, it becomes necessary that you include some of the latest trends in your jewellery collection that can be paired with various outfits and at the same time does not look stereotyped and gives you diversity in your wardrobe.

Statement jewellery has become big this year. With big chunky gold pieces and uncut stones, this style is meant to stand out and give a simple outfit that sassy look.  This style includes oversized bracelets, extra-long earrings and extravagant necklaces.

Tassels and fringes have also managed to grab the fashion attention in a big way. And they are absolutely gorgeous. Tasseled earrings and fringed neck pieces have taken the fashion market by storm.

Jewellery with certain motifs like animals, flowers or unique symbols have also hit the markets. I, personally, love the animal motifs that are available. And these motifs are not only available for women but also for men as neck pieces and cuff links. Among the animal motifs my personal favorite is the owl. Spotted on many celebrities, this is the most popular motif. Also, the orchids, among the flower motifs are the most popular one. Colour co-ordinate them with your outfits and get the desired chic look.

One more trend that has seen enormous response is the square bangles. They are new and needs special attention from fashionistas. It’s innovative which means it will stay with us for a few seasons. Buying a few of them is a wise way to invest. Also you can try “the more the better” look. Stack up lots of bracelets, thin bangles and not-so-thin bangles in different colours and shapes. That will enhance the style of your clothes and also give a springy, cheery look.

The best thing about these styles is that they are pocket friendly and very much manageable. You won’t feel awkward carrying them off and they will definitely give a boost to your style confidence. Get a few of them in your closet and I am sure you won’t be able to stop yourself from going out in this heat, again and again.
